This article reports and analyzes a formative experience in pedagogical planning developed by undergraduate students in a Science Education program, within a Didactics course and in connection with the curricularization of university extension. The activity was based on a public high school in Diadema, São Paulo, Brazil, and involved the collaborative development of lesson plans in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics linked to SDG 16, which addresses peace, justice, and effective institutions. The process included analysis of the school context, selection of content aligned with the Brazilian National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) and the São Paulo State Curriculum, definition of teaching and assessment strategies, and collective revisions. The experience expanded students’ understanding of contextualized planning, interdisciplinarity, didactic transposition, and active methodologies. It also highlighted challenges in integrating SDG 16 into Science and Mathematics subjects. The study concludes that territorialized planning contributed to teacher education by connecting scientific knowledge, citizenship, sustainability, and reflection on teaching practice.
