In the second semester of 2023, undergraduate students in Pedagogy, Languages and Literature, Biology, and Physical Education at a private HEI in São Paulo participated in an evaluative activity in the Didactics course based on the book Pedagogy of Freedom (1996) by Paulo Freire. The activity integrated reflective analysis and the creation of musical parodies, inviting future teachers to translate pedagogical concepts into poetic and critical language. Beyond assessing content comprehension, the proposal aimed to foster authorship, sensitive listening, and collective creation. The songs revealed inquisitive perspectives on the act of educating, highlighting the ethical, political, and affective commitment of teaching. The results demonstrate the power of art as didactic mediation and as a formative language capable of provoking meaningful reflections and re-enchanting the teaching-learning process. The experience reaffirms the value of creative and interdisciplinary assessment practices in initial teacher education.
