NEUROEDUCATION AND TEACHER EDUCATION
FOUNDATIONS, CHALLENGES, AND CONTRIBUTIONS TO PEDAGOGICAL PRACTICE
Keywords:
Neuroeducation, Teacher education, Pedagogical practiceAbstract
This article discusses the contributions of neuroeducation to teacher education and pedagogical practice, based on a review of recent literature. The analysis reveals that the integration of neuroscience, psychology, and education fosters an understanding of learning as a complex process involving memory, attention, emotion, and motivation. In the scope of teacher training, experiences are highlighted that demonstrate advances in students' academic and socio-emotional performance, as well as the strengthening of teachers' professional identity. It also emphasizes the challenges related to the spread of neuromyths and the need for neuroscientific literacy. It is concluded that neuroeducation, when incorporated critically and systematically, contributes to more innovative, inclusive, and evidence-based pedagogical practices, proving to be a promising path for contemporary education.
