This article proposes a critical and experiential reflection on neurodivergent teaching in Brazilian public education, based on the trajectory of a teacher with a late diagnosis of ASD and ADHD and indications of Giftedness. The autobiographical approach, articulated with inclusive policies, analyzes how institutional support, professional recognition, and continuing education affect teacher retention. The study focuses on her experience within the municipal education system of Duque de Caxias, particularly at CIEP Brizolão Municipalizado 328 Marie Curie, and on formative experiences in LEEI (2024) and ProLEEI (2026), in Nova Iguaçu, Rio de Janeiro. Drawing on the contributions of Enicéia Gonçalves Mendes, João Henrique da Silva, and Márcia Maurílio Souza, the article argues that inclusion must recognize difference among those who teach as well. It concludes that institutional support and collaborative practices are essential for the retention and reinvention of neurodivergent teachers in public schools.
