About the Journal
The Movimentos Docentes Journal is a scientific and cultural publication linked to the International Network Movimentos Docentes, dedicated to the dissemination of research, experiences, and reflections on education, teacher training, and teaching practices, as well as topics related to sustainability. Inspired by the trajectory of the group that, for more than fifteen years, has fostered dialogue between schools, universities, and communities, the journal seeks to articulate academic knowledge and formative experiences, recognizing teachers as producers of knowledge.
Founded in 2025, the journal marks the celebration of fifteen years of the group’s existence—now consolidated as a network—and reaffirms its commitment to sharing and valuing the teaching profession. It thus stands as a space for the circulation of essays, scientific articles, experience reports, and escredocências—texts that poetically or reflectively narrate the everyday life of those who teach and learn.
Its editorial line privileges inter- and multidisciplinary approaches, welcoming works from various fields of knowledge that dialogue with teaching, education, practice, and teacher training, with sustainability as a cross-cutting theme.
The International Movimentos Docentes Journal expresses a living community—a space of collaboration and (trans)formation, where writing is also an extension of the movement initiated in training sessions, congresses, classrooms, and collective projects that inspire and sustain the teaching practice.
